Add water and fresh flowers or, if using dried flowers, let them dry.

Jar vases are also a great summer craft for kids. Mason jars are particularly pretty vessels, but any mayonnaise, pickle, or other discarded jar, even plastic, can work. In order to turn a pot into a vase, it must first be completely clean.Kids love getting wet in the summer, so let them roll up their sleeves and have fun splashing around in the sink while they “do the dishes.” Once the jar is clean and dry, tie a pretty ribbon around the opening. If desired, decorate the outside of the glass with glued beads and buttons.
